Our daughter, Claire, was diagnosed at 30 months and is now 8 years old. Claire currently receives in-home therapy 3-4 days per week for 3-4 hours each day;
this is imperative in order for her to generalize and maintain all that she is learning. Claire is making steady progress in understanding and relating to the
world around her. We owe this progress to the many, many hours of therapy she has received. She is talking, interacting with peers and teachers and has become
an integral part in every aspect of the day. Claire has many special needs and has changed our world forever, but she has taught us and given us more than we
ever expected. When she was first diagnosed we ran a 30 hour a week program. We could never have provided hte therapy she needed without the help of Walk for
Autism; we will be forever grateful for the scholarships that have been provided for Claire!
